Komodo Island is an island located in the Nusa Tenggara Islands, Indonesia. Komodo Island is known as a habitat for native animals dragons. This island is also the Komodo National Park which is managed by the Central Government of Indonesia. Komodo Island in eastern Sumbawa island, separated by Sape Strait. Administratively, these islands including Komodo district, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Komodo Island is the most western tip of Nusa Tenggara Timur province, bordering the province of West Nusa Tenggara.
There are also about 100 individuals in the Wae Wuul dragons on Flores Island Nature Reserve land, but not including the Komodo National Park. Beside the komodos, the island is also host various exotic flora Sepang wood by local people who are used as medicine and dye clothes, this tree Sterculia oblongata nitak or believed to be useful as medicines and seeds are tasty and delicious as peas.
